St Herman's Young-Adults are really SHY
SHY has its own website for announcements and schedule of events. Go to www.sthermansyoungadults.com.
On a Thanksgiving weekend, back in the days when Archbishop Job (of blessed memory) was our Diocesan Hierarch, some SHY people traveled to Chicago to visit with His Eminence, Archbishop Job. On Sunday morning, they worshipped at the Archbishop's Cathedral.
After the Divine Liturgy, Sean and Mark and Nicholas and Jocelyn came out to discover that a tire on their vehicle had been slashed. Lovely Chicago!
Fr John, the priest at the Cathedral, told them of a tire store a few blocks away. After putting on the spare, they went to the tire store. A long line of cars was there, waiting to have tires replaced. Hmmm...
But hey, it was about adventure! and adventure is what they got! More importantly - they didn't miss any meals.
Another time SHY came to the home of Fr Paul & Presbytera for a Make-Your-Own-Pizza Night. (That's Danae back when she was SHy - St Herman's young-un). According to Fr Paul's recollection, after he and Presbytera ate their fill of pizza that night, there was enough left over even for the SHY folk!
